Feline Diagnostic Imaging 1st Edition
by Merrilee Holland, Judith Hudson February 2020
The goal of this book Feline Diagnostic Imaging is to provide an overview of imaging findings in the normal and diseased feline patient. The first section reviews advanced imaging modalities currently used in veterinary medicine with a basic review of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
The remaining sections on neurologic, thoracic, abdominal, and musculoskeletal systems include radiographic, ultrasonographic, and advanced imaging studies of common disorders in our feline patients. Some sections include chapters dedicated to normal anatomy: the eye/orbit, thorax, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and urinary systems. Cases were selected to enhance understanding of normal anatomy and common abnormalities. We are indebted to our contributors and their many associates who provided quality content and images for this project.
This book offers a comprehensive resource for imaging the feline patient, with an emphasis on the unique considerations of imaging cats. It focuses on radiology and ultrasound, with some coverage of advanced imaging such as computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Incorporating more than 1750 high-quality images, it is an invaluable reference for any veterinary practitioner with a significant feline caseload.
